They are the source of much of the mythology in various culture about elves and similar beings. They have semi-intelligent symbiotic creatures, the [[Quima]], that help them assess truth and read emotions. The Halfen are also sometimes called Ginan, after their original homeworld in the [[Ginan system]]. Their current home system is the [[Syeen Ginan system]], a G4IV sub-giant star about 450 light years from Earth. The political entity is known as the [[Halfen Kongsveld]] (Realm of Halfen).
