Statistics and other numbers

  • Solar wind speed = about 450 km/s

  • Speed using only solar wind, L1 to L2, would take about 7 days
  • Distance from Earth to L1 = 1.5 million km (5 light seconds)
  • Distance from Earth to L2 = 1.5 million km (5 light seconds)
