The Ginan system is a star system in the Celestial Lance Universe. it is approximately 230 light years from Earth. It is the original home system of the Halfen.
Specifications
The Ginan system is the origin of the Halfen civilization, though they moved out of the system nearly 400,000 years prior to official contact with humans in 2116.
Ginan is a red giant that is no longer on the main sequence. It has an approximate diameter of 39,529,674 kilometers (about 28 times the diameter of Sol). This caused the first planet in its orbit to break up and be absorbed, and destroyed the life on the two planets in the system's Goldilocks zone.
Other names
The Ginan system is also known as:
- Epsilon Crucis system (ε Crucis)
- Intrometida (Portuguese)
Planets
Planets are listed from closest to the star moving outward. The asteroid belt is located between planets 4 and 5, as well as the remains of planet 1.
