Jarvis Island Spaceport was located on Jarvis Island in the country of Kiribati on Earth. It was the most important and heavily-used spaceport in the late 21st century through the early 23rd century on Earth. The New Jarvis system was named after Jarvis Island.

History

On July 12, 2079, Jarvis Island was gifted back to Kiribati by the United States of America in celebration of 100 years of independence for Kiribati. Jarvis Rocketport was subsequently built and went into operation in 2093. Its name changed to Jarvis Island Spaceport in 2116. For over 100 years, it was the most popular and least expensive method of launching cargo and crews into space via its magnetic rail launch system.

It was replaced by the Starbuck Space Elevator on Starbuck Island on July 2, 2205.
