The Blue Oyster Nebula is an H II region that appears in the Celestial Lance Universe. It is located in the direction of NGC 6934, in a band of gas, dust, and stars between the Centaurus Arm and the Norma/Outer Arm of the Milky Way. It is approximately 1200 light years on its longest axis and about 1000 light years in diameter across its main "bubble".
