Purple pepper tomato

The purple pepper tomato, as named by Adele Watanabe, grow to about six feet tall and have yellowish flowers similar to a tomato plant. Also similar to the tomato, the leaves look like a cross between a Japanese maple and an oak leaf, with small fuzzy hairs all over them. The fruit can grow anywhere between 10cm and 20cm in length, between 1.5cm and 3cm in diameter. It is grayish purple, but not unappetizingly so, with more purple than gray. The whole fruit can be consumed. Inside a thin skin are segments similar to citrus fruits, each containing small juicy vescicles. The flavor is sweet with a slight touch of tanginess, similar to a really sweet grapefruit with a hint of concord grape. They are high in vitamins C and A. Named because they look like long purple peppers (shape) with a feel and skin like a tomato.
