Aiono Maimoana is a human who first appears in "Lagrange Contact" as an astronomy mission specialist on the Lucky Dragon. She is a Second Lieutenant (O2) in the International Space Exploration Force. She becomes one of Vasiti's best friends, and is the first one to see Ekoha in person. She is nicknamed “Aimai”, though most of her friend call her “Ai”.
Biography
Aiono was born 9 April 2096 in Apolima Tai, Samoa on Earth. She is the daughter of the 3x-great-grandson of the linguist/scholar Aiono Fanaafi Le Tagaloa and the 3x-great-granddaughter of Matatumua Maimoana, a Samoan nurse and founder of the Samoa Medical School. She has a has a hobby of xenobiology, though not any real experience since there haven’t been any viable xenobiotes discovered up until now.
She has a boyfriend, Jason Pua Naea, in Samoa. She speaks English, Samoan, Tongan, Maori, Hawaiian, Japanese, and Mandarin.
