Vasiti Taake
Vasiti Taake is the protagonist and main character of "Lagrange Two, Lagrange One, Do You Copy?", a novella in the Celestial Lance Universe. At the beginning of the story, she is a Lieutenant Commander in the International Space Exploration Force (ISEF) and assigned to the Lucky Dragon under the command of Leah Brackett.
Biography
Vasiti was born 24 March 2090 on the island of Abemama on the Pacific island nation of Kiribati on Earth. As the youngest of eight children, Vasiti has always looked up to her oldest sister, Kalana, who is almost thirteen years older than her. She studied astrophysics and communications systems, earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees in both.
Since joining ISEF, she worked hard to achieve the rank of Lieutenant Commander. She was named flight engineer and first officer on the Lucky Dragon for the mission to establish the Lagrange Two International Space Observatory. While on the mission, she learns she can hear dragon-speak, a type of telepathic communication used by the Starkind.
