The Rainbow Snake Nebula is an H II region emission nebula that appears in the Celestial Lance Universe. It is about 62,000 light years away from the Sol system in normal space, located on the Scutum-Centaurus Arm. From the direction it was originally discovered, it looked like a rainbow snake, having an elongated S-curve pattern. The Hebi system, named after the nebula, is located about 19 light years away from the nebula's coreward tail in normal space.
