Glibford Robert Beedman is an independent cargo trucker who accidentally discovered the second wormhole in the Fort Groton system. He is the captain and owner of the interstellar cargo truck, Alimoany.

Biography

Glibford, known to most as Glib, accidentally discovered the second wormhole in the Fort Groton system on 1 April 2455 while he was drunk. He subsequently discovered and named the Granola Cluster and several of its star systems: Bar, Chewy, Golden, Graham, Honey, Oat, Quaker, and Raisin. A number of protests were filed when the names of the systems were discovered, but he somehow managed to file the registration forms correctly (with help from his cargo truck AI) with ICES. Per regulation, as long as the forms are filed correctly, the discoverer of the systems has naming rights, and only a vote by the people in a given system can change the name of the system. As of the year 4400, none of the systems have voted to change their names.
