Ohlakhira Shufteim (OS) is an interstellar federation of star systems that includes humans, Halfen, and Starkind. Its form of government is rule by judges, with an associated parliamentary system that meets for several weeks about once every Earth year.

The OS operates the following organizations:

Interstellar Cataloguing and Exploration Service – Explores new wormholes as they are discovered, catalogues the contents of the star system, and provides reports regarding the viability of colonization opportunities.
